Good News! Polytechnic Anime Society has already gotten permissions and advice, and is proceeding to work with the Polytechnic Institute of NYU to make Spring Fest as best as possible. This includes: A LOT of paperwork Fundraising Contacting potential guests and performers DESTROYING THE UNIVERSE WITH OUR SONG and other miscellaneous actions For those of you who have been asking for more information, there should be short blurbs for events posted within the next couple weeks. Been some problems at the last minute. I am now sleep deprived trying to make sure everything still runs smoothly and is still fun. Alot of changes to make sure the flow works well. anyways DUE TO GHEY CIRCUMSTANCES (Gym being closed due to falling lights) Gaming will be in 116 and Lounge 116 will consist solely of super smash brothers cuz that is PAGE specialty. Lounge will be casual gaming. tea lounge will be in 473 116's events will be moved to 215 215's events will be moved to 475 lounge's events will be moved to 474 Lounge gaming will be shut down @ 6pm to prep for Live Music, please go see ramune drinking contest/Uncle Yo. If there is a high demand for casual gaming we may simply move it to empty space in 116 if the crowd dies down. Live Music Remixing MAX 9001 will open when its ready(around 7:30 to 8ish) and start going at it. If the online schedule is inacurate I'll try to fix it, the booklet you get when you come in will have a proper sheet. blah running on fumes here. Basically all events will be centered around the 4th and 2nd Floors, mainly the 4th. Gaming will still be on the 1st ground level floor. -Ray. PS. I need a freaking break. PSS. RAAAWWRRRR!!!!!

I posted the schedule. BTW, I'm Ray, this year's coordinator of PAS Spring Fest 2009. There is a volunteer sign up page,  not sure if it works, but feel free to sign up to volunteer to help out. What we mainly need is setup manpower at the beginning, and ppl to help take care of the tea lounge. We will provide the tea; Maids and Hosts welcome. Volunteer information will be posted soon. For this year's guest that we were able to get(We're so poor we cant afford anyone!); We were able to get in touch with Uncle Yo, and he's setup for the 7pm time slot right after the Ramune Drinking Contest. Hes a cool guy too. I hope  he can come in early and see the Ramune Drinking Contest. It's boud to be awesome. Gaming has been changed up this year a little bit, since a new club has been founded here in NYU Poly.  They were around last year managing our gaming, but now we fully welcome PAGE(Polytechnic Association of Gaming Entertainment). They will be in charge of gaming this year and it's a great help to have them here as it frees up manpower so that we can focus more on our stuff. Also; keep in mind that for controllers, we will prolly require a state photo ID or a cell phone, anything of value to hold onto to insure that we do not lose controllers. Controllers are not club owned, they are privately lent to us, so if we do lose one we have to compensate for it. Also new to this Spring Fest is the available changing room and bag check esp. for cosplayer. We know how its like to wear a costume on a subway. I personally particiapted in the Halloween Day Parade in full platemail. Just note that the Changing Room will be closing one hour before the actual con closes. Just note that we will be requesting a donation of one dollar to check your bag, as we intend to raise funds for the next Spring Fest. We had to spend like 150 dollars to get a new DDR pad cuz one of them broke. If you cosplay rocks tho, you are already donating your cosplay presence to Spring Fest, so dont feel guilty if you dont have anything to donate. In terms of the Live Electronic Music:  It's going to be done in house, since we are poor, and can't hire anybig names and we're ou of favors (like when were able to get pete from Anamanaguchi). And now in terms of hipster speak: "It's gonna be crap, but theres nothing better to do so i will go." It's only going to last an hour, as our schedule is pretty packed as always, that and we have to close early due to certain circumstances. Maybe we'll even have DS sweet funtime go. Maybe I'll hook up the visuals to my DS and broadcast the pictochat. Who knows? BTW, plz no penises. Swords, Rockets, and long noses are awesome tho. You've also prolly noticed that the Schedule has one hour gaps between each event. I personally made sure there was less conflicts in the schedule and less filler than previous years. Everyone hates filler, and everyone hates when two awesome main events run parallel to each oher. This is my solution to the problem last year where we had panels that were full just empty out when another huge event started. This also leaves a large buffer space for in case any event goes into overtime, which happens alot. Well, anyways, I hope you guises enjoy this year's spring fest. BRING YOUR FRIENDS!!! Cool? Cool. Long, long ago, the gods created the earth and sky. Then, they created anime and video games, which were even better. The gods then proceeded to play Smash Brothers for eternity. Ahem... SpringFest is back, baby! With all-new events, all-new anime, and all-new games for you. We've got dubbing, acting, music, tournaments, pocky, ramune, tea, and everything that is good in the world. It'll be held at lovely Polytechnic University at the Northern end of Brooklyn on Saturday, March 14th, which happens to be the start of Spring Break there. We hope to see you on March 14th, because if we don't we won't have anyone to give our fabulous prizes to.
